Game arcade hypothesis

Hypothetically speaking, if I were to open a game arcade, console based of course. What consoles should I use. Do I carry the latest generation/ or rather the current generation [ playstation 2, xbox and gamecube ], should I carry the dreamcast as well? If I decide to go with the current generation alone do I even carry gamecube as its the least played console of the current generation?

Your input will be greatly appreciated, just leave a comment. Thanks in advance.

Have the current consoles like PS2 and Xbox…not so much Game cube unless pll want to play resident evil..and i would wait ahile before getting the upcoming systems.

well ps2 doesnt really have that many good arcade style games that i can think of. while the game cube has a lot of fun party games which i think could be enjoyed in an arcade. As for the dreamcast..it would have been good for the arcades couple years back but now its dead. I think a mix of current and next gen consoles would be great, it would be a nice variety.

Taylor you gotta have Xbox and PS2 with the latest titles.

a true arcade should have all sort of games, no matter what the console is as the more variety of games the better the arcade will be.

what kabuki says is not entirely true, there aren’t enough arcade games comin out now, what u need is a lot of 2 player games. ps2 and xbox has a lot of those. u dont need a gamecube, if u look in most arcades they have no gamecubes, reason being jamaicans like to kill stuff not play games like mario party.

get a few modded xboxs with huge hard drives and drop a bunch of games unto them and u set to go. in fact most great 2 player games on ps2 are on xbox so u could only go with xbox only

well here is waht i gonna say straight forward i say get evrything even the nes ,snes, atari, sega series shti you got alla those hah u be ruling the competition reason why i say carry even the retro systems if u can find them is that hey if people done wanna play htem shoots put them upon display .Then again some people like the simple games like mario and so forth ,they like them 2d games you know the ones that are jus simple designed but yet still addiitvely fun .

To be honest is not all the time one wants to play all those high resolution games like tekken,Halo and all them fancy games right.

Take me for example when i got my xbox modded shit i played sonic 1,2 hell i play them till mi weak wouldnt stop till mi zero them.

The point that im trying to make here is that evn though i had top quality games like MIDNIGHT CLUB 3 and others my heart jus desired to play sonic.

If you thinking bout opening a game shop i suggest you get all the consoles yuh can get your hands on (note you might prob wanna scrap the ps since the ps2 will play the ps1 games). BUt yeh man get the dreamcats and them other systems man .

I been to couple game shops if not all of them and what i have noticed is that all these games are adult oriented games they arent for the simple minded child like a 8 year old who would be jus ok playing Mario ALLstar - instead that poorlittle child Prob have to play somting like Burnout lol-

What im saying is man dont let your game shop be aimed at jus one particuliar age group zeen peace

i think u should run ps2 and gamecube, ps2 for 2d fast action fighting games like Guilty Gear (which kicks ASSSS!) and racing games like Gran Turismo 4(warning do not play gt4 b4 driving risk of crashing is 90%)however, even though the ps2 holds this much entertainment u still need party games, where talking games where people not too serious about competition and everyone can laugh their asses off like crack heads like mario kart, smash bros, sega soccer slam, mario party, starfox assault.
