As far as i’m concerned some one in parliament wants to buy a new condo or maybe a new cellphone (yeh they kinda pricy nowadays yknow lol) so they made up a bullshit reason to spend 4 million dollars.. why else would this be necessary. If they focused on solving real problems maybe gambling woulnd’t be a resort for people to change their standards of living. They cant get a job so buy lotto.. not getting paid enough so buy lotto. i need to pay for my medical bills next week i gonna go to the gaming lounge and put up lie 4k and hope i can make double or more. See where i’m going with this.
obviously a shit load of jamaicans gamble.. its the reason why casino’s or rather (gaming lounges as they like to call it as casino’s are considered illegal are popping up all over the place.

Now this study.. will acomplish what exactly.. maybe it’ll be like the whole screw worm scandal where the cost just keep escalating and nothing is ever solved the corrent value of the eradication of screw worms is about 1 billion dollars now.. .. yo screw jamaica i’m so tired of it.. it makes me not wanna read the papers not wanna watch the news.
another thing that annoyed me in todays paper is the whole highway 2000 (portmore leg) the company decided no that they should fix the problem with portmores traffic flow.. SO YOUR TRYING TO TELL ME.. THAT THE PROFESSIONALS WHO DESIGN HIGWAYS DIDN’T SEE THE BOTTLE NECK IN THE DESIGN.. they didn’t see the flaw..
BUT OF COURSE THEY DID THEY JUST DIDN’T CARE. The Company borrowed money to build the highway and they gonna pay back the lone with like 3 years of the toll then they have like 7 more to collect from.. well they gonna have to finance it (damages etc) but still they kinda shady.. they knew what they were doing.. damn assholes.

so true. It never occured to them that the toll road ends in a two lane traffic jam in either direction. Marcus Garvey Drive have traffic going to town and to HWT even on weekends. Then the stupid idiots in authority just smile sweetly and stamp “approved” on the project. People must get sent to prison over these things, not just lose work, do some jail time for stupidity.

they cant fix it.. it was poorly designed.. no matter how much they widen the road. its all gonna flow back into a 2 lane road. so traffic flow will be decent up untill the merge and when the merging of the 4 lane is going on its gonna be nasty.. they saw this in the design but they are all dishonest people so they approved it.. its just liek scratchie said they need to go to prison for these things.

I can see that information being useful - processed data about gambling should be calculated into decisions about taxation, spending and regulation.
That said - they probably don’t need no four million dollars to conduct that study. There are plenty of smart capable UWI grads who’d be willing to do that for 1/4 of the price or even less.
