Its been a while since i’ve made an open source contribution. This feels good

My weekend for the most part was spent working on tech.in876.com. N i noticed a little issue that shortly after picking up on it woulnd’t sstop annoying me. The post count for child board / child forums weren’t there.  so you wouldn’t knwo if any post is in a sub forum without looking.

I decided to look at the table structure for the forum component and then mathed out the logic and queriess to get the topics to work. Fell asleep on it last night and commpleted it within 1 hr after i woke up this morning. With the topic count working it was just a matter of modifying my custom queries to get the replies to work.

After completeing it i went over to the developer forums and posted the fix. Hope it helps them. The fireboard forum component for joomla is really nice. If everyone contributes maybe we can stop worrying about briding vbulletin with a joomla powered site. Lets take fireboard to their level.

And remember fireboard is Free

Here’s my fix for the child board topic and reply count
