Signs of progress with the filters

Monday, July 9th, 2007

I’m amused by the filter feature. I’m not really a party guy so i thought it was quite impressive that events.in876.com decided to make filteres for people who really couldn’t care less for certain categories. Finally it works. But sadly not 100% as yet. Guess they working on it on a phased basis. Site really shaping up now.

Another new feature.. Do they every stop

Gave ma daily check on events.in876.com to see what events were taking place today and tomorrow. Did it via the rss feed of course.. When i went there i notice.. a new thing on the index page.. A filter block below the calendar. Sadly it doesn’t seem to work as yet. But really pimptastic idea.. good stuff fromt he in876 guys.. Take a look at it your self

I saw some minor changes over at events.in876.com

Events.in876.com - Them fellaz really go hard. Clearly they determined to be a cut above the rest in the internet promotion business when it comes to events.

They’ve added light box flyer browsing on the index page, they’ve made minor aesthetic chagnes to the calendar that help the current day stand out more and a really cool thing, when you hover over the plus sign in a particular day cell you get a little tip saying add event to [day's date].. kinda cool.. it helps people that not clear on what to do along.

To see the flyer browser click on the small image icon under the event title and watch the magic unfold :p

It resizes the flyers for the users so the users’ dont gotta resize it them selves. If the user wants a really pretty flyer though they just need to make it less than 600 pixels wide and 600 pixelss high.

And to me one of the coolest things is the events.in876.com upcomming events rss feed (subscribe :) ). For the lazy. lol or those that just got too many sites to visit. The rss feed syndicates with the calendars upcomming events shows the title + date and a small description. Which takes you to the full description when you click the title link for the event.

The hover over popup for event description was always there but its still cool to this day. :)

Thats about it as far as i can see right now still. I really rate the calendar and I hope them continue to do what them do to the best of them ability.
