hmm $5000 bill.. and they feel happy. The fools.
When will people learn that these things are not good signs. Bank of Jamaica Unviels its 5000 JMD bill as its highest currency in circulation. The secretary of boj is gonna say something along the lines of jamaica shouldn’t be surprised because the united states actually had a $1000 USD bill, and when 70% of the cash circulated in a country is its higest bills its time to create a new bill. Now i thought about it and said if 70% of the currency being circulated is your nations highest bill it simply means that your dollar isn’t worth jack. THAT is the underlying fact, therefore the creation of a new bill is like trying to carry more of the money around with you because of the little worth it has in lesser denominations.
There’s an old saying once you break a note its done. e.g (jah know i doa wah broke this manely cuz once a change it, it done.) Can you imagine when its like that for the new 5k bill, 10k bill anyone.
I not trying to be negative i just saying. Dont pass something off all nonchalant like yknow this is normal.. dont worry this is cool look @ hugh’s face on the bill, our money’s pretty, chill out. hmm anyway keep your eye out for that 50 dollar coin soon.
thank god a few people get it though yahoo answers

When I heard the news, I automatically considered migrating. All that bull about “making carrying huge sums of money more convienent” made me laugh, like the Jamaican people don’t understand economics.

To put things in prospective the higher the bank notes the poorer the country. The minimum wage is something like $4,800 a week so it means that many will own one. It is a really frightening situation, believe me as country you don’t want your currency to be so week. However, on the other hand with cost of living so high it is much easier carry these around. In Jamaica these days $20,000 buys nothing and it’s a quite bulky. The Jamaican currency starting to look ridiculous at the moment and as embarrassing it may seems I think we should be looking towards using another currency now.
