More political bullshit… I have lost hope in this island

Tuesday, October 3rd, 2006

So i’m at the barber shop getting ma hair cut. cause yeh i looked like a real beast for the past few days, I’m takin in the news at the same time and i hear a 100million dollar contract was given to bouyuees if thats how its spelt.. the french company that jamaica contracted to do the highway.. and i’m saying.. these mofo’s are raping the country blind.. they already fucked (excuse my language) up with the portmore leg and the gov decided hmm lets give em a 100 million more for thier good deeds   WTF.. I want out right now.. out of this country out of this nationality I’m so sick and tired of all the bullshit thats going on and what can I do.. you know like when you watch those corny american comercials about what 1 person can do.. why doesn’t that work in jamaica. I kinda try to live clean uphold morals and so on. but all around me there’s killing, stealing and all the othershit that i dont do to live by example (why aren’t they following).. i dunno because maybe they dont care.. jamaica really has a dark / bleak / desctruction filled future.. I have lost hope

This week in Polytrix is for kids

Whats going on politically right now.. the nice up the people vibes of course. Why you ask; becuase election is gonna call latest next year so of course everybody wanna seem like they were busy for the entire term. Here are a few things I plucked to talk about

Portia’s plan to clean up ja previous to world cup cricket. Good idea i say however as the opposition pointed out after that clean up plan which i thik the budget was 635 million (WOW!!!!!!) whats gonna happen to the 1,200 job positions that its gonna offer after that.. I guess just like always they’ll be apart of the  unemployed population yet again..

Mr Golding brought up a very interesting topic that i couldn’t stop reading till i finished it. The abandonment of downtown kingston by business places and the “up town folk”. This is definately an issue which needs to be addressed. The nations capital is by far the most disgusting thing in the island I hate going to work because i gotta go down town I wish the gleaner was located elsewhere. The desertion of Downtown kingston just can’t be blamed on the deserters though but the conditions which led to the act of deserting.

Kingston could be defined as the capital area of crime and violence in jamaica it stinks like horrid stenches, broken down buildings garbage everywhere and it goes on and on in that manner.

Mr Golding has proposed the continuation of Past Jlp leader Edward Seaga’s city plan and i quote Mr Golding

If elected into government, Leader of the Opposition Bruce Golding says that the Jamaica Labour Party (JLP) will revive a masterplan by his predecessor Edward Seaga to redevelop the city of Kingston, also to include Port Royal.”

thats all it was just on my mind and I figured why not blog it

4million to study gambling in jamaica my ass. damn i hate these politicians

From this mornings News Paper.. the only paper to buy of course The gleaner (not just your average observer we see everything)

A Study To see if jamaicans are addicted to Gambling

slotsJPG.JPG

As far as i’m concerned some one in parliament wants to buy a new condo or maybe a new cellphone (yeh they kinda pricy nowadays yknow lol) so they made up a bullshit reason to spend 4 million dollars.. why else would this be necessary. If they focused on solving real problems maybe gambling woulnd’t be a resort for people to change their standards of living. They cant get a job so buy lotto.. not getting paid enough so buy lotto. i need to pay for my medical bills next week i gonna go to the gaming lounge and put up lie 4k and hope i can make double or more. See where i’m going with this.

obviously a shit load of jamaicans gamble.. its the reason why casino’s or rather (gaming lounges as they like to call it as casino’s are considered illegal are popping up all over the place.

Monte Carlo at the Tera Nova Hotel
Acropolis which i think has too locations.. and those are the two major ones.
Bars are a big success in jamaica with the old time slot machines.
gambling is a big hit in jamaica its very obvious.

Now this study.. will acomplish what exactly.. maybe it’ll be like the whole screw worm scandal where the cost just keep escalating and nothing is ever solved the corrent value of the eradication of screw worms is about 1 billion dollars now.. .. yo screw jamaica i’m so tired of it.. it makes me not wanna read the papers not wanna watch the news.

another thing that annoyed me in todays paper is the whole highway 2000 (portmore leg) the company decided no that they should fix the problem with portmores traffic flow.. SO YOUR TRYING TO TELL ME.. THAT THE PROFESSIONALS WHO DESIGN HIGWAYS DIDN’T SEE THE BOTTLE NECK IN THE DESIGN.. they didn’t see the flaw..
BUT OF COURSE THEY DID THEY JUST DIDN’T CARE. The Company borrowed money to build the highway and they gonna pay back the lone with like 3 years of the toll then they have like 7 more to collect from.. well they gonna have to finance it (damages etc) but still they kinda shady.. they knew what they were doing.. damn assholes.

NO Red Money Right here rasta.. non a dat a blowow

Thursday, September 21st, 2006
image_00003.jpgno seriously people red money.. we have more interesting things going on for that to be the front page / cover story right.. things aren’t that lame are they.. in any event my take on the whole “we dont accept red money” ordeal is it really has no value. the jamaica dollar has no value i know people that say they dont keep any silver coins they rarely accept change in coins at all. so its no wonder the coins are on the streets on bus floors and so on.. so i say screw the red money.. just you wait.. pretty soon there will be a 50 dollar coin.. the jmd devalues every single day. my poor country..

Miss jamaica world 2006 finals

Sunday, August 20th, 2006

back home at 3:00am in the morning and im 2000 dollars poorer. but that explanation comes later. click images to get larger view
the show progressed quite well i got there at about 8:30 and despiye what i thought about my apparell i saw lots of people in jeans n stuff so i would have gotten in regardless.

i am not really in a story telling mode so in reverse order it went like this

Fifth: Chantal Raymond

Fourth: Gillian Taylor

Third: Zahra McGraham

Second: Christelle harris

and miss jamaica world herself was none other than

First: Sara Lawrence

the main thing that screwed a few contestants was the questions they were asked by the judges i can only remember 1 smart reply which actually answered the question ( go lace :) ).

Me posing with last year’s miss jamaica terry

one thing i paid close attention to was the crowd support for the ladies, in that regard i honestly thought christelle was gonna dominate the competition.the whole show was now over and me and my co workers where outside in the lobby just idling and it seems majority of the girls remembered us from the chat so they all stopped 1 by 1 said hi gave us hugs and talked a lil bit, and for the first time i got the chance to meet last year’s miss jamaica Terry, who by far is one the most charismatic young woman i have ever met, simply beautiful.

Swimsuit pics of the ladies

The next thing on the agenda was the after party at terra nova. The party was okay.. nothing to really blo about lol. but i got to snap a few faces. a few of the girls never came to the party in particular the surprise was the fact that the winner Sara never should up so i got no pic with her.

At approximately 1:00 am everybody started rolling out of the tera nova but me n my friends were bored so we went to the monte carlo gaming lounge. it was kind of fun for a bit till i realized in total i lost 2000 dollars but to hell with it i had fun. it was a really event full saturday night and i have absolutely no complaints.

Girls Hanging out around by the entrance of monte carlo

I dunno why i just really like eliane alot

p.s another phenomenon i noticed last night. In all honesty the contestants were really stunning ladies however the crowd it self carried some women that could definately own the contestants if they had entered the competition themselves however thats just based on looks alone. The missjamaica audience of ladies is by far the most eyepleasing audience i’ve ever seen.

The first friendly face i saw for the night Terresha from highschool days with a friend of hers

Here are 2 extras from day 2 and day 4 of the Go-Jamaica Chat with the ladies

Laci Renne and Gillian from left to right
