I work in a web oriented workspace right. One where technically i really shouldn’t need to leave my house to go to work. Now in the world of the web we know  a few things.

1. content is king – he who has it rules the land.. err web
2. The first with it – Generally has his way with the people [ if i come to your site and you don't have content early.. i go elsewhere ]
3. Photos People want pictures man – you know they hate reading. show them something of photo nature and they gobble it up. and digg it and stumble it and tweet it and everything you can think of int he social networking sphere that will spike you traffic so high you web server will have a stroke.
4. The web is taking over stop fighting it and embrace it you dumb bastards
5. delivering news on tree martyrs News papers wont cut it no more not in this world of I WANT IT FASTER I NEED TO KNOW IT NOW. where people are blogging from their mobile phones and checking other bloggers rssfeeds for updates and reading their news from tmz via rss as well. printing a magazine just aint so cool anymore. cuz bythe time u hit the stands the users already got the news they needed via the web.
6. This race is definitely for the fast / swift and st.. no smart.. cuz only the dumb wont adapt.

Yea thats a few stuff from my rant.. this goes back to a little chat Gordon and I had yesterday about dumb ass newspaper companies in general.

This weekend was super busy. The highlight of the entire weekend for me was the emerge expo which took place on Saturday at the Hilton hotel ballroom. Quite a few companies were present. The Jamaica Observer, Evideo, Fenntech just to name a few. I was clearly there for events.in876.com . The event was open to the public at 12:00pm around that time there was some freakish ninja rain that just came out of no where like hurricane force stuff. As a result we were all worried about the turn out but that became non existent in about an hour or so (the worrying), as we were too busy explaining to people the nature of the product (events.in87.com) the benefits and the snazzy new features of our version 2.0 (throws digital confetti in the air). Take a look at the features page and see how beefed up the system has become. Events.in876.com clearly means business keep an eye out for them in the media. The site has been completely re vamped and truely delivers the content and showcases features the way we originally had intended.

Among the other companies that were there i think i liked the Fenntech booth the most. They had some big ass tv’s yow and when i say the resolution on those things were pimping i make no joke or overstatements it was sharper than my laptop monitor.. now think about that sharpness at i dunno the 40inch range. Sweet and guess what they didn’t have 1. There was 1 attached to a laptop and the other to a gaming rig. Their booth got a lot of user interest (video games) and tech heads. There were performances by cezar, and Lenya and the entertainment / hosting was handled by Elva (man that woman is crazy.. in a good way though). There were prizes an give aways from quite a few company. an acquaintance (just met her that day, she’s a friend of a friend) won digicel’s blackberry pearl (the Wi-fi version). It was a good event though. really good. The promoters who held it I’m sure saw a few flaws and I’m sure they’ll get it proper the next time around

I’m just kidding. Its apparently a bad boy production. Seems diddy’s using some of that smarts. Now the japanese have some competition in this arena cause i know they do this with some of ding dong’s dances. featuring ding dong him self of course.

Now diddy’s in the business pushing ele’s dance’s and his tunes. along with it. I woudln’t be surprised if ele becomes the new billi blanks in that area. lol.. wow. ele never seizes to amazzsssssse (ele style) me.

oh and for some authentification its from the diddytv channel on youtube. puffy taking it to them for 2008 well serious like satalite radio.

Its kinda late but the friday after i worked on it i went home.. to brace for the force reknowned as dean. Take a look. Read through comment and if you have pictures share. Over the past few days I’ve been hard at work at my eldest web child.. “animesynergy“. It has evolved to version 3.0.. Well actually version 3.2 to be correct.. but who’s counting decimals. Anyway along with the help of 1080eye The forum has been re-skined and now uses complete proprietory software.. from the vbulletin / photobust / vbgeek lot (ALL PAID FOR). I spent so much on web applications out of my last salary i’m wondering if i’m crazing seeing that i’m a huge opensource advocate. however vbulletin rocks. integration rocks. user based web software rocks and to get everyting exactly how i wanted it to function.. it had to come with a price.. so i did what was needed.

the first launch of version 3 was met by glum remarks.. “where is the black and gold look, we want it back”. The name of this game is try to make the end user smile while not running your entity into the ground. So after about a week. We decided new theme. I mapped out the logic of what i wanted, dished it to the local forum gfx Guru and tada i woke up int he morning to see a pimping naruto / sasuke shipuuden theme ont he forum. all was great everybody loved it. Night two i went to bed saying wow this is great. woke up in the morning BAM a new theme again with the same color scheme that they love so much. Death Note. after seeing this i got to work immediately on getting the images to rotate in sets for after mapping out the logic to do this.. i tried and failed. till i started talking to my self.. and cussing out vbulletin about how they got me doing somethign thats soo simple in a super difficult way.. anyway the logn and short is i had to write my own custom plugin for vbulletin to get what i wanted. and now all is well with the forum. the users are happy. the designer is satisfied with his work. the coder is satisfied with his rotation plugin. Morale is up. Registration is up, form activity is up.. and I really hope we can keep it this way.

Yesterday night i’m browsing doing my regular statistic checks right.. I came across this website called entertainmentjade  right. and i notice something familiar. on further looking i noticed the fellows copied events.in876.com in some regard. I am certain and when i say certain i do mean certain, that we were the first to have the ajax flyer view. and the hover over tip.. you guys saw me highlight those same changes here on this blog and those highlights were posted weeks after they were actually implemented. I was copied and not even in a subtle manner they changed nothing.. absolutely nothing. a blatant copy they even used the same image icon from events (right click save as)..

Its okay though. Its kind of flattering. imitation that is.. Its like I”m better so you gotta copy the person with more vision and devel skill. funy thing is that each time they catch up we distance ourselves with more ingenius and enginuitive ways.
