So what have i been up to since my last post.. hmm i’ld say not much..

started eating well, cut down on the junk food and so on stop wasting as much money as i used to which is good it feels good to not be broke.

events

last event i went to was the toyota roll out put on by wheelsjamaica which was pretty interesting i went to ochi in a car full of chicks which was fun and not so fun at times.. overall a good experience though, an inexperienced ddriver who almost killed us 2 times. or maybe its more i just stopped counting after the first 2 times.

we took about 3 hours on a 1 hour journey sigh. its fine though we got there and back alive.

i won 2 prizes at the event in some q and a thing by miphone i have no clue where my prizes are and frankly at this point i dont even care. my fuji s3100 represented think i came back with like 400mb of pics a few came out blury cuase there were alot of motion pics.. the scenery was okay (scenery = women in bikini’s).

the finesse models did a one thing but frankly i tired of seeing them, and the chicks i went with kinda outshined the models, was quite funny actually they had thier own little shoot which totally ownerized the finesse model’s.

i sold my fuji s3100 and bougth a fuji s5200. man this cam looks mean, i love it

also in the process of selling my qtek 9090.. what i’m gonna buy with it i’m not too sure. saw a nice nokia that a friend has selling a 6111. looks neat enough.. tired of having a huge phone want something small that can fit in my pocket.

my temporary phone is a horrid samsung x150.. so nasty.. i hate it so much.. in the event that i just shut up and stop wining and use the samsung as my permanent phone i might buy a guitar with the cash from the qtek. electric an axel pro and finish teaching my self how to play.
thats about it really. work has been good, friends are fine, family is fine. everythings okay more or less. mannning and dacosta cup is my main focus at work right now. need to finish up the functionality on the site asap. and thats that.

on the social side of things.. i was supposed to have a movie night on friday. got cancelled got pushed to saturday.. and i kinda feel like it cancelled as well lets see how the rest of my saturday goes.

Yaw seems like i’m a pretty good programmer / Employee. Appraisals went great and i really was worried for nothing. The time thing was an issue though,,it made me get int he 80 percentile instead of 90’s for my over all grade. but i’ll get em next time.. I have six months to show them what i’m made of.. In other things my department (production) got some literature I was the first to borrow a book heheh.. Build your own ajax web appplications..A sitepoint book.. So soon i’ll be rolling out ajax apps like nothin.. :p…

yaw i have appraisals in about 8 minutes as of typing this sentence….. yup.. I wonder how it’ll go how will it turn out will i come out smiling or crying.. find out next blog entry on Taylor’s Tribulation

yeh so sunday i woke up about 7:40 am and within 40 minutes there was a little confrontation between me and my mother.

question “did you eat that last piece of cheese in the fridge”

answer “yeh I’ll go buy it back soon”

instant argument initiation.

now the kind of guy I am makes me wonder what to do in the situation.. I’m not the talkative type me and my mother have next to nothing in common so its very odd for us to talk about anything because we’re so far apart, in what we do, and how we live, morals and principles and beliefs also seems kind of different.

I do love my mother a whole lot and I definately know i do not show it nearly enough.. but it kind of comes from the fact that there are things she does that make me dislike her as an individual.. (I still love her she’s my mother) but she has a lot to learn.. This may sound kind of boasty/rude comming from someone more than 20 years her junior however I see her make too many foolish mistakes and no one should ever correct her or else it would turn out into an argument my solution eventually became leave her alone there is nothing that can be done for those who do not wish to accept help.

Anyway with regards to this mornings argument and the crying i really feel like shit making my mom cry by indirect events which obviously affected her emotionally because of how i deal with situations, I promise from hear on out to make every attempt to show that I care. I just wish she would understand that me caring doesn’t necessarily mean that i cannot be annoyed by lilttle foolish things she does that i know she shouldn’t have anyway i’m signing off i’m heading to church. I need some Jesus.

Friday the 13th of 2006 was in my mind gonna be the lamest day ever due to the fact that it was the Gleaner Online’s Away Day (a day where you work away from the office) the location this year was the Jamaica Pegasus. I got there about 8 found the suite we got for the day, quie a few people had already arrived they where kinda in the middle of breakfast which was happening during the department meeting (which we didn’t have last tuesday due to the plan to have it at the pegasus on friday).. The meeting was okay, lots of laughs lots of productive discussions and so on..

Immediately after we had a 15 minute break before the guest speaker for the day arrived (Ms/Mrs JAJA). She was to deliver a message on time management, a workshop of some sort really. During my break Rochelle and I kinda wondered off found some artwork downstairs which cost like a shit load of money 250,000(usd) for something that i could probably do.. so i’m thinking of changing my profession from web applicationss programmer to an…. ARTIST!!!. anyway the break was kinda short so we headed back and there was the speaker as we expected just walkin into the room.. woman had a really cool laptop though.. a Dell inspirion (big up) 700M it was soo tiny what i like to call a road warrior, really built for travelling.

The event got underway wit us doing an activity / test. got a paper with 18 questions and a paragraph giving info needed for the questions to be answered, the aim of the test was to test our reasoning.. i failed in my eye i got 11 out of 18, my supervisor got 17 out of 18 and it shows why he’s my supervisor.. the other managers got like 11 and 13 as well.. kinda shocking.. where’s your reasoning power for those important decisions… hmmmm…. ne way moving on smartly before they read this and fire me.. we then did the same test in a group which basically showed that in groups decissions are generally better formed because everybody’s score went up.. except for my supervisor’s group they got 16 where as he had a 17 originally however his other groupmember’s score increased significantly moving from lets say an average of 8 to 16(the groups score).. my group also got a 16 which was an improvement.. bottom line however is that i realized that my reasoning is flawed so i need to work on that and the key attribute that leads to my flawed reasoning is assumption.. i read the paragraph twice and went through the answers first mentally then circled them after re reading the questions. so i definatly do have something to work on..

The away day concluded at approximately 5pm, Rocelle kinda organized a little asylum flex and monique opted to go so the 3 of us made our way over there entered and kinda made the bar our lil paring endz… The big dancer among us made no delay in pwning the dance floor i kinda just kicked back at the bar and downed smirnoff ice’s like they were water till a little hazy feeling took effect for me to star doing a little thing on the dancefloor. It was fun overall though.. Dont think i’ld go out of my way to go again but it was an okay expxerience cause it was my first time at the asylum night club we got there about 6 and left at 8 becuase the music and competition had really ended and there were gonna be some new artist performance which i really didn’t care to see. after exiting i’ld say within 30 minutes everybody was on their way home.. on my way home i was thinking some dirty thoughts about a particular girl that was there but i had to just keep em to my self for particular reasons..

the friday however i’ld give it a 7 out of 10 in the fun factor department.

Friday I went home with no real intention of leaving my house but a sistrin and bredrin shout me up and said they comming to pick me up so that meant i was staying in mona for the weekend. got dressed in a few they were there headed up. first stop mona. bredrin got dressed then it was TGIF… THE PLACE DID RAM STAR PEOPLE WERE OUTSIDE STANDING WAITING TO GET IN we left and went to cuddy’s kidna the same thing but not that bad then i realized the reason people were all there to watch the finals of digicel’s rising star.. i was just flipping hungry damn rising star rightnow for all i care i need to eat. eventually we saw a friend of ours mom who kinda hooked us up. (leon big up 2 your moms man ). googly dillas were great.. they kinda smell odd like.. its kinda embarrasing but the smell reminds me of something a guy wouldn’t necessarily wanna eat but it taste dam good though.. but it really smells like…. grrrr….. ne way

after that it was a burger which after eating it I felt so bad like gluttony kinda bad cause i could barely move Had like 2 drinks the first of which was like a bag of icymint melted in a glass with vodka (blech.. ) it was really vodka and creme de mint (they screwd up my drink it was supposed to be creme do cocoa ) but i didn’t flip it was cool at least my breath was minty fresh.. then i had this drink call b1589. thought it was a drink they came to me with a shot glass.. i wanted a drink not a shot.. but i had it ne way it was really good.. after that we headed back to mona then 2 other friends ccame by with a poker kit however no poker was played we just talked random bullshit till like 3 then went to tigermarket at 3:30 bought some junk ate and talked till lik4:00 am then passed out.

saturday was kinda the same we watched this really bad ass movie called layer cake sounds stupid but its really good. talked bullshit and watched lockstock and two smoking barrels till like 2 then passed out. sunday was the 360 day gunz buss all day.. with a dash of nba 2k7 then a dash of more gunz but from the war genre (call of duty) then back to halo gun bussing it was good.

good weekend however i think I’ll be staying at my yard in the upcomming weeks.. these weekends are fun but they pricey as a mofo believe it. last 2 weekends i stayed home i spent no cash i got work done i mean i spen like 3k in the past 3 weeks 1k a week cause i really aint doing nothing this weekend is pent probably more than 3k in 3days.. wtf right…. sigh… friends are needed but the expenses of the fun is kinda not right now especially like how i gotta save for school in january and i trying to buy a lil ride as well.

Yeh so appraisals are on monday and boy am I worried; Why you wonder. I’ve been late alot.. no not more like ALOT!!!!!! living in portmore kinda adds to the reason and then the Gay // stupid // currupt Government and their tollroad scheme kinda not really helping me get to work earlier its kinda worse than before actually. I’m expecting them to crash on my time issue so i’m kinda preparing for those questions.. hope i dont do to bad.. so if you hear i’m unemployed again you know why.

I have made an attempt to be early though and its working good so far.. its really tiring though waking up at that hour and getting ready, but a mans gotta do what he’s gotta do i guess.

So because this guy that did some graphics work for me had to send me some files and couldn’t remember my gmail acount (a real email service) he had to send it from msn messenger which automatically will send it to my hotmail account. so i open up the browser and type h and i saw nothing “o” still nothing and i realized. hmm from the time i got back my computer i never ever once went to hotmail.com or msn.com even. Then i realized apart from instant messaging i really have nothign to do with that whole network. I have segrated my self from ms in almost eveyr way shape or form possible and if i had the privilege to chose the operating system i’ld like to use on my work terminal without a doubt it woul be ubuntu linux or maybe suse.. (preferably ubuntu lilnux).. your really on the downfall microsoft.

I’m heading home.. listening to some tunes on the iriver T30 “slipping falling i cant get up ayo i’m slipping falling (blaring sirens)”.. wtf’s going on.. sirens police cars swerving.. its a chase. some guy in a white toyoto corrola maybe 96. was kinda driving really wrecklessly, endangering the passengers of the vehicle as well as pedestrains. finally the police caught him infront of the jamaica teachers association (will the teachers ever get their raise… idunno) corprate credit union and kinda gave him the face check 1. 2. 1. 2. Yeh (tek box bwoy kinda thing).. then threw him in the van and drove off.
