I have dubbed the last 2 days the days of the ninja…. rain. How incredible its stealth jutsu was. At 8 in the morning your seeing bright sky’s sun burning your face making you feel like you getting darker by the second.. and then by 12 the  ninja starts it precipitation jutsu. by 1 / 2 pm you got serious showers with thunder and lightning… the firstday of its trickeryi was caught. un protected with no weapons to fightback.

The following day i decided to take my atmospheric condom (jacket) to protect my self from potential RTI (rain transmited Infections). I was very close to outwitting the ninja rain.. but ninjitsu lies in knowing thine enemy and not in technique alone.. A friend of mine who wwalks with me in the eventings didn’t have an umbrella or ne thing.. So I gave heer my jacket untill she got on a bus.. *damn you ninja rain.. you tricked her with the bright on sunny skies in the morning .. no one except for a paranoid andriod like my self would believe that you would show your self*. So the ninja rain still got me in the end.

Yesterday night i’m browsing doing my regular statistic checks right.. I came across this website called entertainmentjade  right. and i notice something familiar. on further looking i noticed the fellows copied events.in876.com in some regard. I am certain and when i say certain i do mean certain, that we were the first to have the ajax flyer view. and the hover over tip.. you guys saw me highlight those same changes here on this blog and those highlights were posted weeks after they were actually implemented. I was copied and not even in a subtle manner they changed nothing.. absolutely nothing. a blatant copy they even used the same image icon from events (right click save as)..

Its okay though. Its kind of flattering. imitation that is.. Its like I”m better so you gotta copy the person with more vision and devel skill. funy thing is that each time they catch up we distance ourselves with more ingenius and enginuitive ways.

I dunno how true it is.. but based on what i’m seeing it doesn’t seem to far fetched. Irrespective of them stealing simpsons cleared the way for all these types of cartoons anyway. if it wasn’t for simspons family guy would have had a harder time starting up.

Last night about aobut 12am A co worker instant messaged me. Yo.. Somethings wrong with an ad I placed on a site you were working on / managing the adsystem for. Whats wrong. The ad placement is messed up the ad isn’t showing where it should be. So i jumped on my favourite gnu ftp client [GFTP] and proceeded to dig around at the problem. Turned outto be some css flaw. And i fixed it on about 3 pages.

Now look at that my peace and tranquility was interrupted to do work for the company i work for at 12 midnight. With this much conectivity is there anyway to really get away.

I’m in a bus yesterday and i heard a cellphone ring “to the left to the left” and i saw likke 5 people look on their hips and reached for pockets and so on and i thought to my self. wow. in this day and age where there are vibrating alerts on the cheapest handsets, where ringtones can be so unique as compared to days of old when everyphone and i mean everyphone just went “ring ring” “ring ring”‘.

It led me to think how the hell did anybody ever get someone when they needed them. cellphone in your pocket and ringing and you have absolutely no idea if your in a very noisy environment cuase it doesn’t vibrate. cellphone in your bag and ringing same thing. worse when you gotta have it on silent.

I remember at one point the only way you could have a vibrating phone is if you bought a vibrating battery. which lasted you not veery long because it uses a lot of power to vibrate so you’ld end up having to walk with your charger. God bless whoever first integrated the vibrating alert built in the sell phone. My first experience was the ALMIGHTY NOKIA 3310 (err eeh ahh ahh argh uh  :transformer reference (stellar movie btw) ). That was the dawn of a new age in jamaica if you ask me. Digicel came and lit the way to the damp, deep darkness that jamaicans wallowed in called a mobile telephony market.

There are six fears that everyone who demands a fullfilling life, both of mental and materialistic states, must defeat.

1. Fear of poverty
2. Fear of criticism
3. fear of ill health
4. fear of loss of love of someone
5. fear of old age
6. fear of death

Many of us deny the truth behind our fears. As soon as we are asked the question. “what are you afriad of” our reply may instantly be nothing.  Fearlessness rarely exists naturally in humans but must be cultivated, and then groomed into maturity within the core of your personality.

Many embarkments  / efforts which could be profitable are derailed  based on the first fear which seems to be the most powerful of them all.  Under  Fear number one falls a crap load of other things. like financial insecurities and so on.

I’ve been kicking fears ass alot as of lately and I would like to invite you to do the same. It feels good The battle is long and tedious but well worth it in the end.

Start of by doing a self assesment demand of your self truthful answers irresspective of how embarrasing the answer might be. If you can’t truthfully assess yourself ask someone that knows you well enough to do it for you.  Better yet ask 3 people and comare the results Of the three.

After finding out which fears bind you from achieving Proceed to destroy it.  Be Fearless.

Today “techjamaica” had a little event. The turn out honestly was way less than I expected but a good turn out non the less I guess.  I saw a few people I knew all was well. I was really busy to be honest so I was in and out of the event on my own personal business.

The main highlight of the event was the owner’s / creator’s speech. Quite interesting. Most of what he said was for the most part accurate. I’ve learnt quite a few things at my current place of employment relative to internet users, When they complain listen. forget about how you see it working and try to adhere to there needs and wants. Your community is based on well… your community. Your worst user is  your best asset (worst being the one you are annoyed of because of his constant complaints, there is bound to be some just underlying reason for his concern and revolt) and, do not be afraid to utilize technology available to you, The ui for the “tech portal of jamaica” is extremely outdated looks played out and utilizes’s no up to date technology from a user experience perspective. Remember the users’s care less about what your running on the backend its all about how it feels when using the website.

moving on from that However theree were a few key things that I had to laugh at were.

I believe in specialization. Specialize in what you do and stick to it. A lot of people are getting into a lot of things that they need not necessarily get into. Not because it was successful for me it doesn’t mean that you can do it.

I thought about it, I thought about it and i thought about it. I like to give people the benefit of the doubt that they always mean others well before I say anything negative.

Now Who are you to say what others can and cannot, should and should not do. I understand the logic of running the risk or watering down or thinning away one’s talent / competence by venturing into territory they may not understand. What you should ask your self however before jumping to ridiculous conclusions is:

1. Do they see something I’m not seeing.

2. Could I be doing something better than I currently am.

3. Have I attempted other strategies that may be more democratically implemented

However the man clearly knows everything so anything else other than what he said is probably out of the question. Internet communism at its best.

He made a statement about “greed” and how people are just venturing into various projects with money at the core of the efforts. Speak not what you do not know and understand. You know nothing of what drives people. Many people are disgruntled with how things are handled within the techjamaican community. Similarly to how Jamaicans are disgruntled with what is taken place within the country politically. Based on your logic its wrong for another party to analyze the community, Create their own based on your weakness’s and strength and try  in the best possible way to give users what they need / ask for. So technically one party should reign forever in whatever the field it is they are in.

Your delusional and kind of closed minded. Wake up. I will not stop doing what I’m doing. I’m not trying to be rude to anyone but I just cant seem to fathom what right someone has to tell another to Stop based on the premise of I was doing this first.. if this was the case cable and wireless would still have Jamaica under technological oppression where communications are concerned. If I get banned from a site over this this further proves my point. This is my point of view and I have the FREEDOM to express it if i desire to.
