I watched speed racer for the second time with a  chick last night and I’ve gotta say the movie rocks for what it is. It got everything right. The fashion The jargon, The fighting The corny / odd scenes with spritle and chim chim. Everything was done just right. It outdid the the animation in everyway possible. The race battles were pretty awesome. I thought the kid that acted as speed looked fairly close to the cartoon character as well. Good Job Wichowski Brothers.

I fell asleep watching the Next Avengers animated movie had no idea when i fell asleep but it was well beyond 3am this morning. I dont know when my dream started. But it was all too familiar, I wasn’t a secret agent, a spy, a gundam pilot or anythign cool like that i was at home in clothes that i actually have in my closet and on my notebook just as i am right now. which kinda made it difficult to identify that i was dreaming. There was also the sound of kittens and cats meowing at the window. (this really is happening… btw cuz some kittens are in my backyard the mom probably put em there seeking shelter from tropical storm Gustav). The meow’s started intensifying to the point where it sounded like hundreds of cats were out there. They began scratching at my door and windows. I went outside to see what was going on and i realized i was the only person at home, no clue where my mother or my dog was. I opened the door to look and i was mauled by liek 6 cats. scratching away at my face and arms. I was wearing timberland  boots for some reason in the house (how odd). and i started squashing. there was blood everywhere with shrieks of the animals as i stomped… shriek… stomp shriek. the last one that was on my arms i crushed into the wall. its head splattered, then its body lay limp.

As if they knew they’re compatriots had fallen the cats outside went into a violent frienzy soon after they’re was the sound of broken glass and there came more of the french windows in my dining room. I quickly ended their 9 lives with one strike. and blood spewed in mists as I continually squeezed my boot down on the animals head.

I woke up to a phone call from my aunt in florida. the dream ended. and even now i can still hear the kittens outside.. “Mew mew mew” so cute too but the dream is creeping me out. they messing with my mental state man… :s

Hey everyone in the carib blogosphere and visitors as well. How’s it going hope your roof is still on and all is well. Basically at the end of T.S Gustav and as fortune may have it I already have my light back. though there are those who didn’t lose their lights at all. Lucky them. Anyway this is a what did you do during the powerout of gustav (if u had a power outage that is).

I had no power from getting home at about 2pm yesterday evening. Power came back for about 1hr then left until 5pm today.

During the lightless hours I

• watched anime till notebook died.
• browsed flickr, weather channel and go-jamaica.com/blog for weather updates as i bought the wrong sized batteries for my frigging radio. all done via pocket pc (htc tytn )
• twittered my updates via pocket pc (htc tytn) (follow me if u havent yet dammit)
• Played God of war chains of olympus (psp)
• Listened to a lot of music (ipod)
• Read some boudoir photography books i bought a while back.

For majority of T.S Gustav I had somethign to keep my occupied thank god I go insane when I’m bored.

Another day comes to an end. I am home safely Thank god for that, I have ate, I have twittered, I have killed a few in spartan valor (Cratos: the ghost of Sparta / god of war for psp). I have chatted with the Gordon Meister about some annoying issues in Jamaica relative to the web Which I will discuss in a blog entry Tomorrow ( so look out for that ). And now its soon time for me to retire. Just a few more thigns i’ld like to do before calling it a night though.

Yep its been awhile since I’ve checked back in. been twittering though.. ask Gordon its true lol. So I’ve been stacking gear for a while now thought I’d post a photo of everything I got so far. There it is. I so am not doing anything for free anymore. gotta have some cash incentive or something in it for my photography career. This equipment wasn’t bought on smiles and good looks.

MAN I’M SO TIRED.. i’m falling asleep at work like crazy.. The reasons behind me being tired has me wondering as well. Emotionally its worth it. but the damage I’m doing to my body… This is definitely a bad idea… Anyway So many things has happened in the tech world, the photography world and everything I’m interested since the last time I’ve blogged. Way too much for me to cover..  but lemme touch on a few i guess.

I’ve started toying a bit more with off camera lighting. The results are astounding. why did they even build hotshoes on camera’s in the first place. lol.

The 3g Iphone released.. yayyyyyy.. who gives a shit. I’m still not an iphone fanatic, htc touch pro will pwn your ass stevie boy… yeah… speaking of iphones Miphone got a mention on internationaly reknowned tech site Engadget in the mobile section as the license iphone dealer in Jamaica. Whats odd is Miphone isn’t 3g… As yet that is Now that they’re owned by slim I’m sure were gonna see some big things. Slims got the money to do it.. so lets kick back and watch competition do what it does best. make shit cheaper for us .

The flickr group got together the other day and we took a trip to the St Thomas Light house. Excellent trip might i add. I was able to stay connected while out there in the wilderness via my htc tytn and my unlimited gprs internet sim card from cable and wireless (thanks cw. digicel is a dirty mother fucker and should die for now having this feature). I got some awsome images fromthat tripl. and eagerly await the next flickr group roll out.

At a friends birthday party recently i broke a lens… Tear :’(… while switching it to get a shot of a girl getting “cocked up on a table”.. (its what happens at parties apparently) the lens fell.. my beautiful 50mm f1.8 II lens.. My heart ached…  but its cool.. i got a sigma 28 – 70mm f2.8 coolness.. what sucks is that i cant use an infrared filter with the new sigma so i might have to repurchase the 50mm f1.8 .

Purchased a new camera bag yesterday cuz my crumpler cant manage the gear anymore. I have to leave stuff at home which i sometimes need wich fracking sucks so i got the canon 200eg delux bag. Hopefully it’ll get here by friday. I honestly want to upload some photos… but the gallery component i use is broken and apparently there’s no fix for wordpress 2.5.x

Saturday past 2 friends and my self set out to capture a panaroma shot of new kingston under properlighting.. i.e visible but no harsh sun light aka early in the morning before the sun hit the high skies. sadly we were a few minutes too late and the sun was already peaking over the building but the shot did’nt come out too bad. the shot was taken by Giovani Powel (virus/don giovanni) with his freshly bought sigma wide as a mofo angle lens.

Anyway after that we went to edna manely school of arts (by foot from new kingston after a lovely breakfast courtesy of burger king). Got some great shots at edna manely and saw a rly cute girl i went to college with.. big up sasha my one of fav black blonde in the whole wide world.

After edna manely we headed up to uwi for some nice architectural shots. Sadly i got no muse to take any photo’s when i was at uwi. I think i was distracted by the T and A population. I got a decent flower macro at uwi but sadly i left the images on linkin’s laptop cause i didn’t take my system with me this weekend. So i guess you wont see that till this weekend.

I haven’t walked that much in a day to be honest. was on the road from 7 am in the morning till about 5pm walking most of the way.

I saw this little girl come home with her booklist from school the other day. She goes to hope valley primary. The booklist was neatly organized. Books page, stationary page and …. furniture

Immediately i through a WTF look at him. He’s like yeah you gotta buy furniture. I’ve been out of primary school for a while (lol) so see with me. But is that really the norm.. I mean kids gotta buy their own desk and chairs. WTF is this shit. Jamaica really stay away still when you gotta buy desk and chairs to go to school. What the government really doing.

Oh I’ve been frequenting the jamaica elections blog I really love it. Its hilarious.. the commenting that is. This blog entry i found really surprising. I kinda like what rick james is saying..

I’m amused by the filter feature. I’m not really a party guy so i thought it was quite impressive that events.in876.com decided to make filteres for people who really couldn’t care less for certain categories. Finally it works. But sadly not 100% as yet. Guess they working on it on a phased basis. Site really shaping up now.
