I have a studio shoot tonight. Have some pretty interesting shots planned. Hope it all works out well. Sadly I’m not sure if I’ll be able to post any of them here at all. There are a few that I’ve already done which look awesome but the models wont allow it to be published in anything what so ever. :(. I need to start researching paid models apparently. Cause ones that model for free wont want it published most the times.

January.. The hardest month in the whole year.. well for everybody except Adrian i’m sure lol. anyway i’m just about out of cash and i got a memo at work saying oops server crash pays gonna be late.. see you on the 28th.. I mean it aint on purpose so whatever. Sucks though… Why isn’t there a backup payroll system on another server or something to that effect.. lame.

Finally got my remote shutter release made for my camera it looks pretty good and works quite well

Great news from canon There’s a new Dslr on the scene and I think i wanna buy it as my primary rig and use my rebel xt as my secondary rig.

This really kinda picked up my day. Figured i should share..

Not a bad weekend. A few dissapointments but I’m alive today so it must have been a good weekend at the end of the… weekend… :s.. anyway. I went home on thursday night and went to work from portmore. So i got to kick it with this chick that lives infront of me. I spent most of friday morning trying to convince her to model for a photosession for me. I’ve taken a few photos of her and even given her prints yet she wont model for me in a controlled environment where i have control over the lighting the backdrop and so on. she agreed yet on sunday the shoot had to be cancelled..

with the non existence of the good old xbox 360 (it was sold) there is basically nothing to do on the weekends other than photography which i definately dont mind. me and the photo crew hit halfway tree on saturday for the bus park opening howver the damn thing wasn’t open to the public which is some real bullshit if you ask me. they said sunday.. and i wasn’t in the mood to go on the road on sunday so there’s no bus park photos for you to ohh and awe about as yet.

Majority of saturday evening and sunday was spent re-vamping my remote shutter releease switch for my dslr. It really sucked that it had a electrical short during the huge blackout last week it was a perfect night for a star trial attempt. I tried crimping the wires and holding it for 5 minutes with my hands to get the best i could.. take a look

on friday at work there was a staff party. I think i honestly failed at that to see my rant about the failure and a few of the images head here. After the staff party i headed to mona where there was idling and rum cream. after which we all went to medusa’s bar and idled some more (there was no more drinking by me though). Got some cool photos at medusa.. not much though.

sorry for the in coherent flow of time but i just started typing and clicking and when i was done i was like ouch.. (its too late to apologize ???)

anyway thats it for the day.

Yes its a 50 cent song. but currently it holds more meaning to those of us still living in jamaica. This morning the lady that delivers the gleaner didn’t do her rounds (yes even though i work at the gleaner at times i still buy the paper). Thanks to the internet that didn’t affect my morning.. i could still read the news and drink my Tea and do my morning meditation and what not. So straight to my rss aggregator i wen and clicked on all the latest additions.. the one that shocked me the most was Bread prices rise again. Now i’m speaking with someone about it and he asked what are we gonna do about it.. and all that came to mine was the 50 cent lyric.. “Get rich or die trying”. I didn’t mean it from a crime lord perspective either. However with jamaica’s current state food is gonna be considered a luxury to people who could just afford to get by. So your left with no option but to get rich so you can afford to live or die trying to do exactly that.

Bread is already over a hundred dollars like $120 if i’m not mistaken. Say a house hold has 5 people in it a loaf of bread can easily be finished within the morning (breakfast).. Brace your self my fellow jamaicans Hard times are ahead.

I intended to do a recap on the year with this post but as my fingers touched the keyboard i figured i shouldn’t lets let the year end on a seemingly good note.. Things have been good overall though i cannot lie.. the most crappy thing that happened to me is when i lost my tytn the other day i guess. .. All is good and things could be much much much worse.. Gotta give thanks for that.

This christmas I actually spent away from home.. but ma mamma knows I lover her when i’m there and when i’m not there anyway so it doesn’t matter.. did call her and dad to check up (no they dont live together/ separated /) and give em the christmas cheer.  I didn’t do the gift exchanging splurge thing this year in all honest, it was one of the simplest christmas I ever spent.. I did end up buying somethings but christmas or not they would have been bought so they’re not really gifts. I got a 80 gig laptop hd to install windows on for processing my photographs as more software is available for the windows operating system as compared to linux relative to professional photo process/ editing. I bought an htc s620 other wise known as the tmobile dash. So now i can again be mobile, send emergency emails when i’m on the road.. if needs be and i gotta speak to someone i can do so via msn which works out cheaper than talking to them via phone or sms. I bought an external enclosure for the 2.5″ laptop hardrive to use 60 gigs out of the partition as storage however the enclosure sucked so i returned it.

I bought some reading material as well, Professional nude photography - extremely good stuff. I’ve done one shoot so far and the results are great. Hopefully the next planned one will happen soon. should be tomorrow or the day after.

Today is the final day of the year.. where it all comes to an end where earth makes full circle. Where it is back to where it began. to some it signifies their “fresh start” to some it signifies nothing. However what remains factual is that the new year is coming whether you like it or not, how will you approach it.

For the year of 2007 I honestly gave it alot of effort and attempts at various thing in my life. Some I have achieved, Some I have improved on others i have failed. I haven’t given up on my dream as yet though and still intend to weather the reality untill I get my breakthrough.

You know what really sucks. i mean really really really sucks. When you buy honey bun cheese bread AND THERE’S NO FUCKING CHESE IN IT.. Shit man.. I just ate through the whole thing wondering where the hell is it. where is the cheese. They robbed me dammit.. and i cant do anything about it… i’m sorry for the rant i just had to really let that out..

*inhale.. exhale*.. DAMMIT MAN.

Last week saturday was a pretty good day for me. There was a Jamaican Flickr Linkup, Where those who attended all headed up to castleton botanical Gardens with our photography gear and captured the scenic greenery to our hearts content. there were about 10 people, Very interesting people as well. The nikonites were out in their numbers and among the group the most experienced users seemed to be toting nikon’s from d70’s to d200’s (beautiful machine). Among the canon user’s there was a 70-200mm f2.8 L lens. It stood out in all its white coated glory.. I want one so badly but that price tag will bleed my wallet thin.

Had a really good time met some talented and knowledgable people in the field of photography. Hope I”ll get to do that again soon. Also take a look at this photography club.

Generally I’m not one to blog about anime. but i just saw a trailer for .hack gu the movie and omfg this shit could be great. Its been a while since a good cg movie anime, Last one being final fantasy advent children.. It cant possibly llive up to that hype cause advent children was like years of hype until deliver but the flick looks really good fromt he trailer. the story line is basically

Project G.U a special team formed within the C.C corporation apparently a control mechanism for anomolies which takeplace in the online mmorpg. Currently there are alot of online killings which is a real problem. From the days of hacksign this would generally passover in the realworld meaning the people would dissapear or die there too. There have been 110 confirmed victims todate in the G.U.

I guess the movie is about how they stop this.. I saw a person that reminded me of tsukasa from hack sign.. hope its him or they pay some homage to hack sign.. thats where it all began man.. here are a few screenies
